The Marion Regional Development Corporation (MRDC) is a non-profit, private economic development organization, sponsored by the Marion County Commission and the City of Fairmont.
MRDC promotes new investment, job creation, and the retention of existing businesses across Marion County, West Virginia.
MRDC and its predecessor, the Fairmont Industrial & Credit Corporation, developed the I-79 Technology Park, Fairmont Industrial Park, Valley Industrial Park, and the Marion Regional Business Park creating millions of dollars in new investment and thousands of jobs.
What We Do
MRDC markets Marion County as a business location for new and existing businesses. We work closely with other economic development organizations to provide our clients with a unique, personalized response to their inquiries so they can make the best possible business decision.

- An inventory of available sites and buildings in the county.
- Community and demographic information, including demographics, labor force, wage rates, education, and housing.
- Information about business resources and incentives, such as business assistance groups, workforce training, incentives, and tax credits to assist new and expanding businesses.
